Hi there. I'm Brad Fedler with the National House of Prayer coming to you today from Niagara Falls. And I just want to share a brief encouragement with you. Um Paul spoke very highly about leading a quiet and godly life. And you know, it's summertime, feels like things are a little bit slower, maybe a little quieter. Um but I just want to encourage you with this. These these days matter. um even the the the quiet and slow days and oftentimes we can think ministers and pastors with big ministries, big platforms, podcasters, YouTubers, those are the ones doing the work of the kingdom. Um no, Paul spoke highly about leading a quiet and godly life. And in 1 Timothy 2:es 1:4, it's a passage we
often quote. He says, 'First of all then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions. But I want you to catch this part today, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God, our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. Paul spoke highly about leading a quiet and peaceful life, godly and dignified in every way, saying that kind of life is pleasing in the sight of God our savior. If you feel like you're just in a small sphere, you just work 9 to5, you
you know, maybe maybe you're tired, you're at home, you you feel like not a lot's going on, I just want to tell you Paul spoke highly about leading a quiet and godly life. If you read first and 2 Thessalonians, he talks about this a number of times to the church there. Um, especially in 1 Thessalonians 4:1, he tells them to aspire to live quietly. Desire to live a quiet life. You know, work towards living a quiet life. Mind your own affairs. Work with your hands as we instructed you so that you may walk properly before outsiders. In Titus 1 and2, Paul details, here's how elders and deacons should conduct conduct themselves. Here's how men and women, young and old, should conduct
yourselves. And he says this, our good works adorn the gospel of Christ in our lives. And so, if you feel like, you know, maybe it's that it's summer, it's slow, uh, maybe you're in ministry and there's not a lot going on, not a lot of programs, not a lot of outreach happening, guess what? There is value in leading a quiet and godly life and adorning the message of the gospel in our lives with our our faithful persevering life in God. Um you know and we can close with Jesus' words from Matthew 5. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a stand and it gives light to all in the house. In
the same way, let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your father who is in heaven. So, I just want to encourage you, aspire to live a quiet life, peaceful and godly and dignified in every way. It adorns the gospel in your life. It is an incredible witness to the people around you when you live a faithful, blameless, righteous life that matches the words we speak when we share the gospel. So live that quiet and godly life. This is Brad Fiddler with the National House of Prayer. We'll see you next time.
