Election Prayer Strategy 2025 https://www.nhop.ca/2025/04/05/hope-and-joy-in-an-election-season-a-kingdom-perspective/ With just weeks left in the election, now is the time to take action—not just to get out the vote, but to bring hope. Many young people feel hopeless about their future, struggling with rising costs and a system that seems unresponsive. As a result, many don’t see the point in voting. This is where...

Hi everybody. It's Chris Bywick, the director of the National House of Prayer, coming to you today from Ashawa. I want to talk to you today about hope and joy in the midst of an election uh uh series. Here we are in the middle of the election with maybe three and a half weeks to go. Um, and I want to to talk to you about hope and joy, especially for two sets of people. I want to talk to you about the Christian candidates that are running right now. I've had numerous conversations across the nation from candidates in many different parties, encouraging them and and speaking hope to them, speaking endurance to them, speaking encouragement to them. So for those of

you that have um believers in your writing that and uh that are are are writing, I want I want be an encouragement to them. Call them up, help them, go door knocking. Um the the the words that we use in electrical in in the election are gov, get out the vote and uh be a part of that process. And one of the reason, one of the group of people that I want to talk about getting out the vote are young people. It's so important for us to get young people out. When you're looking at the polls right now, um I won't go into uh poll strategy or how to read polls or anything like that, but I want you to be paying attention to what the polls are saying. and um and and

this gives us an opportunity and shows us where we need to be praying. For example, that younger vote, that 19-30 vote, be in prayer for them. They need to get out to vote. Only 40% of that demographic actually votes. And the reason why is they feel they don't have a voice. They feel that it's useless for them. They feel that they shouldn't even bother. Whereas the boomers, like I'm on the the the latter end of boomers, 80% of us vote. There's a big difference. And the reason why many of us boomers, houses are paid for, money's in the bank, had their careers, you know, not everybody, but there's a a lot of them that have been there are younger people. No, no chance of owning a home. you need

you need I think the statistic is 29 years to save up for a down payment to buy a house. So they are feeling hopeless they are feeling uh like there is no future for them and it is very important that they get out and vote and have a say. Not only that, remember this is about the kingdom and many of us, you know, we think of the elections are important. They are extremely important, but the reality is we are we are electing the very best of Babylon. And uh and that's not what the kingdom of God is about. There's a little bit of part. Yes, it's important. I'm a firm believer being a part of elections and go getting out the vote and being a part of a team and praying and stuff like

that. But ultimately in this time it's about the kingdom of God. So when we look at statistics and we actually it actually shows us where we can be ministers in this time and it's predominantly with that younger generation. So here's your opportunity to be dispensers of hope to that generation that feels unloved, unh hopeful or rather lacking hope having no hope. So here we are. You with the kingdom of God, you with Christ living inside are hope dispensers. And you get to pour that on a generation that feels hopeless. I'm Chris Byber, the director of the National House of Prayer, and we'll see you later. Bye for now. [Music]
