The timing of the next federal election is uncertain, though a spring vote is speculated. The Conservatives are prepared for a non-confidence vote, and NDP leader Jagmeet Singh stated he...

hi everybody it's Chris bber the director of the national House of Prayer coming to you today from Ottawa well what a way to start off the year uh it's not that not that we were really surprised the Prime Minister has uh told us he's going to resign initially we thought he was resigning but he's going to be waiting for a new leader to come around so there's a lot of things that are happening first thing I want to say ideas first off I've got about four points and I want to this is my first point this year thank you for those of you that supported us in our in December uh it was our best December ever so thank you for those of you who who have been partnering with us throughout
2024 thank you we are so appreciative uh number two um so what did we learn what did we learn with the Prime Minister you know we've had uh nearly 10 years of of just Trudeau what did it teach us you know many times uh when we came into this role in back uh four years ago uh we we started to see I started to see that that uh Justin Trudeau was was a gift from the Lord because he provoked us to pray and we learned a lot in that with this prime minister it taught us a lot on how we're to pray and how we are to pray moving forward so part of me is grateful for what we learned but I really don't want to go through that lesson again it's kind of like going around a mountain with the
children of Israel right we don't want to keep going around mountains we want to learn our lesson and move on what the first thing that we learned at National House of Prayer the first thing was to bless and not curse I think that was one of the biggest things that we learned it really really uh changed our trajectory and even how communicated and in our prayer lives and that com comes from James chap 3 and I just want to read that tra that verse to you it is so so important James chap 3 verse 11 here it is rather nine uh nine sorry with the tongue we praise our Lord and father and with it we curse men who have been made in God's likeness out of the same m come
praise and cursing brothers and sisters this should not be can both fresh water and salt water throw flow from the same spring that's the first lesson that we learned in um walking with the Prime Minister we had to learn to stop cursing and because of that I'm really grateful to the Lord because it's not that I'm fully there there are sometimes that I'm not completely there but I am very very aware of what comes out of this mouth there there is life and death that comes out of this mouth and I want to be on the side of life all right that's the first thing number two the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God and we see that in James chapter 1
that is one of the things that we learned in this tenure that it was is not up to us to be angry to produce God's righteousness James says that in uh in James chapter 1 uh verse is and uh so take a look at that we'll put it up on the screen here it's the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God and that was those were two of the key lessons that we learned under the prime ministership of Justin truda you know uh one another things that I learned and I leared this late in the game that it is very very important that we as Believers speak the word of the Lord yes it's important that we we pray of course it's important we intercede it's important that we come in
alignment with what the Lord is speaking but it's also there are some of us out there pastors and leaders I'm talking to you that you need to be speaking the word of the Lord to your member Parliament to your leaders and we learned this lately and I was really grateful that we got a chance to speak to prime minister trudel face to face and speak the word of the Lord to him moving forward we are going to do that with our next leader in in a greater capacity yes it's important that we wrestle not against flesh and blood right but against principalities and Powers but you know what many prophets when you see prophets they actually spoke to the leaders and moving forward
we've leared that lesson and we're going to speak to our leaders you could speak to your leader your MP speaking the word of the Lord to them your MP your MLA your MPP your mayor your counselor this is what we need to be doing is speaking the word of the Lord so anyway those are the those are the three lessons that I felt that we learned with prime minister Trudeau and moving forward we are going to take those lessons with our next leader whoever that may be you might have a f I have a feeling it's going to be a particular person but you just never know you know we are the government has been March or April maybe but that doesn't necessarily mean so that next leader or
next prime minister who will be liberal uh you know because the the Prime Minister that replaces Justin Trudeau will still be the Prime Minister until we go to an election and so that person may Paro so you just never know we might be even seeing this in October I'd be very surprised but uh you just never know because uh you know we hear some politicians make arrangements but they change their mind quite a bit so that is why we are always in prayer that is why we're not waiting for an election to pray we are praying now we are praying every day and on this I want to say at National House of Prayer I want to say this to the nation every day is the National Day of Prayer I'm Chris bber
the director of the national House of Prayer and we'll see you next time bye for now [Music]
