Slippery Slope or Magnetic hill.

In today's video, Chris discusses legislation that can either be treacherous slopes or uplifting ascents. Legislation such as Medical Assistance in Dying doesn't just pose a slippery slope; it can turn into a full on luge. Conversely, there are laws that can lead our nation toward righteousness. Like a magnetic hill, they can pull up Canadians to make good choices....

[Music] hi everybody it's Chris bber the director of the national House of Prayer coming to you today from Magnetic Hill in New Brunswick I always wanted to stop here it's a bit of a tourist trap but that's okay I'm not here because of that I'm here to talk to you about Magnetic Hill versus slippery slopes so often times we see leg ation that comes in that is a slippery slope for example the medical assistance in dying that was a slippery slope it was more than a slippery slope it was a full-on lugge the way they wanted to take that uh down to the worst possible place but a Magnetic Hill is a little bit different it is something that pulls us out of the m and into a place of righteousness a

couple of examples that we can see of that for example um John mccay's Bill uh that the uh the new anti-slavery act that was a bill that was was created to um make sure that Canadians didn't import things that were produced by slaves globally sounds like a great idea there are some weak spots in that bill there are some people that have complained that oh it doesn't do this it doesn't do that but that's okay because it's a Magnetic Hill we're going to pull it out so they'll make an amendment to to make it better to make things better so when we're praying we pray that the that our government and our leaders anywhere our leaders don't take us down slippery slopes but up magnetic Hills

things that pull us to the place of righteousness for example if you look at hungry for example I won't go to the depths of Hungary but they were able to to to uh basically half their abortion rates by not attacking attacking abortion but doing something that was very Pro family in the areas of tax Taxation and Taxation for mothers and because of that they cause their abortion rates to drop in half so I want you to encourage to pray for your leaders pray for your members it's summertime now we're coming into summer they're back in their constituencies this will be a great time for you to connect with them have coffee with them see them at Canada Day do things like that connect and tell them
