hi everybody it's uh Chris from the national House of Prayer broadcasting you today from Snowy Ottawa actually at this very moment while this video is being released we're actually going to be in Gibson's British Columbia on the Sunshine Coast doesn't that sound intriguing Sunshine Coast I hope it is sunny when we get there we'll be speaking at a a prayer conference put on by our friend Timmy and Timmy leads a fantastic prayer group in the Lower Mainland in British Columbia called the Lower Mainland intercessors so we're meeting with them and taking new ground in Gibson's British Columbia and so pray for us while we are doing that you know this um we're still in constituency time for our

members of parliament it's constituency uh they're on a Christmas break or constituency week many people think that that because they're not in the House of Commons they're having a vacation and just playing around the reality is they're very very busy in their constituencies in their offices some constituencies have two to three offices because of the vastness of the the size of the writings that they're in that they represent so this I want to talk to you about constituencies and the importance of them you know when we two years ago uh back in January 2021 Marilyn and I moved into the leadership role of uh National House of Prayer Robin framer and transitioningly transitioned out middle

of last year and it's been a really great transition and uh and one of the main differences from nhop when we had the building to end hop when we don't have a house where people comes is we've moved our emphasis not so much in Ottawa yes we're still praying for Ottawa We're still praying for members of parliament here in Ottawa Maryland I are still going on the hill and meeting with members of parliament and senators and other leaders and we're still doing that but the main focuses that we have is that we transition back to the constituency where you live the whole point and why we're building canopy of prayer that moves us from from Parliament Hill into the constituency our goal is to build

338 prayer teams so why are we talking about constituencies today pastors and leaders I want to encourage you to build relationships with your members of parliament pastors and leaders this is their Turf many times leaders and pastors say oh I don't want to engage with with that that member because it's um it's partisan we're getting getting into partisan partisan partisan politics let me tell you this in the constituency the place that boundary those members are civil servants to the people in that writing it's not a partisan play in fact if they were to wear anything partisan into their offices they would be in big deal in big trouble so it's not a partisan

place so this is a great place pastors and prayer leaders and and whoever to meet with your members of parliament to tell them what God is doing in your local church I used to say this when I was working in in the on the government side when I used to work as a constituency manager um I would say to many ministers um provincial ministers I would say listen if we don't tell our story nobody's going to tell our story for us this goes and applies to the body of Christ if we don't tell the story of what God is doing in our lives they won't know so your members don't know the great things that God is doing in your congregation if you don't tell them they don't know so this is a great

opportunity for you to connect with them you should be having coffee at least once a year to tell the story don't come and complain now there are seasons that you have to come and bring concerns I get that there are there are sometimes we just need to talk but it's far more beneficial for you to build a relationship and tell the story of what God is doing in your relationship in your cons in your local church in their constituency so so I want to encourage you to do that this would be a great time for you to even pastors where you can say hey and if you're in a meeting and I do this all the time um it's all right do I pray for you and uh and oftentimes we get a great big

yes so uh Don't Be Afraid don't be afraid it's kind of your job they kind of know you for that right intercessors you should be known for you're the people that pray and so that's your job and that's what you do um I was uh I bought a new car last year um and it was time for a new one and uh and when I was in the finance office for the new car uh the guy saw that I worked for National House of priorities says so what's that I said oh I uh I helped engage people in prayer Across the Nation I helped teach people how to pray I help people to pray especially for government and leaders and that's our job that's what we do so I want to encourage you while they're in the

constituency so look into look in the House of Commons if you go on to um I'll put I'll put the link actually um the calendar in the bottom of this so that you can see this uh check out constituency weeks when your members are going to be in there and make an appointment and hire and just come in and talk and share what God is doing in your um in your local church in their riding get it it's their riding they're serving the people and you get to share the story of what God is doing so I want to encourage you in that the second Timothy 2 uh tells us that we are to pray for kings and all those in authority all those in Authority that we live will live Godly and peaceful lives all those

in Authority Kings so those are partly we can enter we can use a loose interpretation of political leaders and because that's kind of our culture for so we're to pray for them whether we like them or not whether we voted for them or not we are going to pray for them because it's important that we pray for them not not just because we you know seriously Jesus told us to to announcing our our members are probably our our enemies sometimes they act like it but they're not our enemies and Jesus tells us to pray for your enemies pray for those who despitefully use you so this is not about praying for people we we like all the time in many times we use that as an excuse well I don't like

them so I'm not going to pray for them that's um that's really not scriptural we are to pray for them because they are and it tells us the why and I love this will have that we would have peaceful and Godly life why and there's the why at the end the kicker that they would they that they would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth and that's why so here it is it's an Evangelistic Outreach it's a time for you for you to use the word I don't know if you need to literally say hallelujah because that word hallelujah means Lord I will tell of your name so here's a great opportunity to tell your members of parliament of what God is doing in your congregations or in your prayer

groups Hallelujah Hallelujah Lord we will tell of your name let's pray father I thank you for what you're doing Across the Nation Lord I Thank you for all the prayer streams that we keep running into across this nation prayer is vibrant and expanding at a great rate across this nation the Lord we're we're grateful Lord for it Lord we ask that you would help us as Leaders as pastors to build relationships with our members of parliament so that we can tell of your goodness so that we can tell of your name and we can tell the story of what you're doing in our local church or they don't know our story unless we tell them so we ask Lord that you would give us

boldness and courage to engage with our members of parliament lord they're just regular men and women and Lord we're grateful for them and we pray for them even now the 338 of them in that sit in the house they're in constituency week Lord we ask that you would bless them and Lord we ask that wisdom and Revelation nor that they would come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved all of them in Jesus name we pray amen well thank you everybody I'm Chris weiberg the director of the national House of Prayer coming from you from Snowy Ottawa we'll see you next time bye for now
