Hi everybody. It's Chris Fiverr, director of the National House of Prayer, coming to you today from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Well, here we are. We're into an election, and I want to talk to you today about media and the meaning of media and what it does to us in an election. I want to encourage you to go deeper than your normal space in media. So, if you're just in network news or reading newspapers, that's good. Look at different types of newspapers. If you're looking if you're look if you're used to looking at something that's uh more mainstream, look at some alternative uh newspapers or or um internet uh uh options. There's lots of options because not everybody is

saying the same thing. It's important that you don't stay in the same echo chamber is that you hear a lot of things because only each team has a particular side. Listen to the whole thing and learn how to do research. It's important that you dig in and research. For example, if you want to know about a candidate and they have written a book, read that book. For example, Mark Carney has a book called Values. Take a look at that. If you really want to know what he's about, look at that. Look at at uh autobiographies and things like that on other candidates. Take a deeper delve. Look at where they came from. Look at what they've done in the past and what they're doing today. Be educated. And

most importantly, while you once you get all the information on what you need to know, um ask the Lord because he's going to tell you which direction you need to go. I have one more suggestion. Churches, pastors, this is a great opportunity for you to have all candidates meetings in your churches. Get them all there and then you get to ask the questions. You get to grill them. You get to see where they stand on family, where they stand on finances, where they stand on Israel. So anyway, I'm Chris Byber, the director of the National House of Prayer, and we'll see you next time. Bye for now. [Music]
