Election Prayer Strategy 2025 https://www.nhop.ca/2025/04/11/resting-in-gods-sovereignty-during-an-election-season/ In times of political uncertainty, we can find great peace in the sovereignty of God. Romans 13 reminds us that all authority is established by Him, and He raises up leaders according to His will. Even when elections or world events do not go as we hope, we can rest in the truth that nothing...

Hey everybody, Brad Fiddler again with the National House of Prayer with another prayer point for today for um for this election cycle we're in. Uh today I want to go a little different route. I'm not going to actually ask for anything. Um I want to encourage us today just to be in thanksgiving for the sovereignty of God. Okay. I find so much of our anxiety as it relates to politics can often, you know, can often be cured by just resting in the knowledge of his sovereignty over the affairs of man, over human history, over all of it. Um, Romans 13, uh, the first couple verses, Paul says, "There is no authority except from God." And those authorities that exist have been
instituted by God. Therefore, whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed. So, we see that uh thrones, kingdoms, governments, they're they've been instituted by God. He's over all of them. We also know from Daniel uh too that God raises up kings and deposes other kings. He he has a say. He has a hand in what's going on. And uh when we know that there's peace, especially, you know, especially when elections don't go the way we want them to, there's still peace when we we see and know the sovereignty of God over it all. So, I just want to encourage us to be in thanksgiving today for the sovereignty of God. Thanksgiving that he sees it all. He knows it all. Nothing happens
beyond the boundaries of his of his sovereign will. And that brings incredible peace for us when we can rest in that. So join with me in this. Father, today we thank you that you are sovereign. I thank you for your omnipotence. That you're all powerful. That there is nothing that is too difficult for you. We thank you for your omniscience. You're all knowing. You know what's happening now. You know the thoughts and plans and intents of man. You know you know what is to come. There's nothing that can surprise you. And your omniresence that you're you're with us in every season, in every place, no matter what's happening in the political sphere, you're with us. You're
present. You're here in in in your love and in your goodness. And so, Father, we just thank you that you're sovereign over everything that's happening today. You're sovereign over over the campaigns. You're sovereign over the um over the candidates. You're sovereign over the process. You're sovereign over it all. And Father, we just we say today that we trust you. You're good. You're working all things together for the good of those who believe in you, who who are called according to your purpose. You're working all things together for our good. And so, Father, we just ask that you would help us to remain in in a place of rest and trust and quietness before you. um that we would not be
shaken, that we'd not be overthrown, that we would not be uh thrown off by what's going on around us. But God, would you just give us peace and quietness and strength and resting in and trusting in your sovereignty through this season? God, thank you for your sovereignty. You're good. We love you in Jesus name. Amen. Amen. We'll be back again tomorrow with another prayer point. Bless you guys. [Music]
