Updated: Oct 30

Election Prayer Strategy 2025 https://www.nhop.ca/2025/04/10/faith-under-fire-protecting-what-weve-been-given/ As party platforms are released, watch for two key issues. First, a Liberal proposal in the Standing Committee on Finance suggests removing charitable tax status from religious organizations. This undermines religious freedom in Canada. Beyond that, every dollar donated to these organizations generates over $3 in community benefit, easing the strain on government services. It’s...

Hi everybody. It's Chris Fber, the director of the National House of Prayer, coming to you today from snowy Ottawa. I'm shooting this video on April the 8th and there is about 20 25 cm snow outside. Nice, really sweet looking snow drifts. It was as if we were in February. And uh one thing when I see snow like this, I think of this. I think of the scripture that says, "Though your sins be as scarlet, they are white as snow." So wash me in the blood of the lamb and I'll be as white as snow. So we have some snow, but uh it's all good. I want to talk to you today in the election prayer strategy. I want you to pay attention to something in particular. Now these we haven't seen

these in platforms and yet and we are still waiting on platforms to to come. Not everybody's has platforms out. So um conservatives are rolling out announcements um you know on a daily basis. Liberals there are they are really really thin on on what their plans are. NDP I can't even find anything on them. So we're watching when we have them we'll send to you. I want to talk to you today about something that was in the House of Commons uh that was put forth as a mid as a liberal um form of legislation. Actually, it was in the in the financial in the standing committee for finance and actually they had brought forth an idea of removing charitable stats charitable tax

status on the on those that promote religion. So, churches, synagogues, mosques, you know, that kind of thing. They're talking about potentially removing that. Uh, and that would change a whole lot of things. One thing that you need to be aware of that for every dollar that you send to a local church or or a religious organization, it actually the effect is over three three over $3 uh will go into the community. That's what it saves the government from the work that we do in the in in as believers in churches, synagogues, etc. Uh their work actually takes $3 away from the from the government have to from having to do that work. So I I would uh say look at platforms, see who

voted for those because I don't want to be too partisan. I'm going to let you to dig in. You can guess but um um see who was standing for that and wanted to remove that. Be sure because that's something you need to be thinking about. See for example like gay the gay marriage actually came through one of these committees right medical assistance assist assistance in dying that came through one of these committees. So when you see these things float through they they are on their way to potentially being legislation. Remember I've said this before out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks out of the abundance of the heart or whatever in the party they write

legislation. So when you need to be looking that at this in this time and also another number another number another number another number another number another number another number another number another number another number another number another number another thing number two that I want to talk to you about is what's their role on Israel how do they carry Israel what is the stance of the party on Israel that's really really important because Genesis 12 says those who bless Israel those who bless Abraham Israel they will be blessed it is important that we as a nation are in the position of blessing Israel so those are the two things that I want you to consider Consider look

into do your homework. See who is for Israel. See who is for taking away charable tax status from churches. Look into it. Do your homework and then tell your friends. I was in a meeting yesterday with a room full of pastors and they had no idea about the charitable task status. So, um I'm Chris Vyberg, the director of the National House of Prayer and we will see you again next time. Bye for now. [Music]
