Hi everybody. It's Chris Byber, the director of the National House of Prayer, coming to you today from Ottawa. I want to talk to you today about guarding your hearts and guarding your minds during this season. This is a very volatile season and a very highly opinionated. I have lots of opinions right now on a whole bunch of subjects and a whole bunch of political scenarios. So I understand and many of us are are in a place of unrest because we see polls whether they're going this way and that way. I want to encourage you to to train your minds to become under the authority of Christ. And I want to read this out of second uh Corinthians chapter 10. We demolish

arguments and every pretension that sets itself against the knowledge of God and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. So even while we're in this season of of election and it is a very volatile season, there's a lot of people saying this is probably one of the most important elections in a long time. And so I want to encourage you to be in the place of peace. Be in the place of trust in the Lord. Right? You're listening. You're asking for direction. Many of you are are are volunteering on different parties. That's wonderful. But it's important that we demolish arguments in every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God. And that is watch

for those things in those platforms. Watch for those those platform planks that set themsself up against the knowledge of God. Be careful about the potential religious persecution that are in some of the platforms. Look at them, but don't be afraid. Don't work out of fear. God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but the spirit of power, the spirit of love, and the spirit of sound mind. So we're not coming from the spirit of fear, but we demolish arguments and every pretentious thought that sets it up against the knowledge of God. And we take cap captive those thoughts and we make them obedient to Christ. So I want to encourage you that uh watch your thought life. Be in that

place. Bless and don't curse. Stay in the place of prayer. Watch what the father's doing. Do what he's doing. say what he's saying. I'm Chris Pyrick, the director of the National House of Prayer, and we'll see you next time. Bye for now. [Music]
