hi everybody it's Chris fber the director of the national House of Prayer coming to you today from Ottawa well yesterday we were in the House of Commons it was the opening day of the fall session it was exciting it was rockus we met with some prayer leaders some prophetic people it was a really good time um exciting as usual we had invited uh a group of pastors and leaders to join us we had about 17 with us uh praying in the gallery really good day um but there was something that was really interesting about entering normally Marilyn and I can walk in with a with great ease going in because we have these lanyards and we have these passes that get us through um which are
really a blessing uh an MP provides us with that so that we can do the work that we need to do uh on the hill uh except this time we were stopped and we're usually we usually come straight in and uh there was a lot of security yesterday on the hill uh coming onto the hill getting into the building meeting our friends even bringing our friends through toward the prayer in the galleries an extra extra extra security and I'm not quite sure why uh perhaps it had to do with the attempted ass and the second attempted assassination on Donald Donald Trump Trump so maybe everybody's being super cautious um there were some pretty miserable people at the front front of the house the gates coming in
uh there usually are um so you get kind of used to it but nevertheless there was a lot of security and uh so this is important that we're in a play praying for peace and security Now the word Shalom many people think that's that's peace and that means absence of conflict and that's part of what Shalom is but it's also you know the fullness of God nothing broken nothing taken and it's important for us to be praying these things but there's other element of Shalom that I haven't talked about and it's um it is very it's a really good prayer we actually were praying it this morning in our prayer meeting on our Tuesday Morning Zoom call National call I love that call you know I've been
on with these people now uh over over three years on that call and they've been faithful and I just love how it flows in the spirit it's great but anyway listen to this Shalom is also known as this destroying the authority that binds to chaos and seriously we are in an age of potential chaos and Chaos there's chaos all around us can you imagine should that assassin should had that assassin been uh successful on Sunday the chaos that would have hit the US the chaos that would have affected us as a nation the chaos so it's important that we are praying for peace you know we're praying for peace but we're also praying to destroy the authority that links to chaos pray for kings and all those in
Authority that we live peaceful and godly lives you know this is our verse we're talking about this and that peaceful is Shalom that we live Shalom filled lives and part of that is is is U is destroying the authority that binds to chaos I'm Chris bber the director of the national House of Prayer and we will see you next time bye for now [Music] [Music]
