Election Prayer Strategy 2025 https://www.nhop.ca/2025/04/12/contend-and-endure-the-fire-of-unfailing-prayer/ In this critical time of election, I want to urge you: stay in that place of prayer. Don’t move from it. Jesus gave us the model—“Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” He didn’t just teach it; He lived it. Even He, the Son of God, contended for...

Hi everybody. It's Chris Vyberg, the director of the National House of Prayer, coming to you today from Ottawa. I want to talk to you today about staying in that place, staying in that place of prayer. Even Jesus, listen to this. I was thinking about this the other night. I woke up in the middle of night. I was thinking about the Lord's prayer. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as in he as it is in heaven. Jesus said this is how we're to pray. This is the model. You would think the king of glory, he said, you need to pray this prayer. Your kingdom come, your will be done. Even Jesus prayed this prayer and he still had in his heart that we need to be in that place
of contending for the kingdom to come, the will of God to be done. This is not something we do just one time and it magically happens. I wish it would be so easy, but it's something that God is saying to us that we need to be in the place of contending for his kingdom to come. So here we are in the middle of an election. So what does that mean? So we are going to be in that place to pray the main prayer. Your kingdom come, your will be done in Canada as it is in heaven. I want to read something to you from a friend of mine um Dave Mcgru sent this to me. And I just love the wording of this particular version. It's in from Ephesians 6. But listen to this. It's
it's in the in the in the paragraph with the armor of God. But listen to this. It's so good. Your lips must breathe perpetual prayer. Prayer too is your watch and it is and it will test your endurance. Pray for the whole body, the saints, and pray for me and my mouth that my mouth will be opened and give my message, the message of the gospel. So it is important that we have perpetual prayer on our mouths all the time. What does it do? It builds endurance. It causes us to be resilient. This is why we pray. We don't pray to change God. CS Lewis said this. We pray to change us. And if you want to build endurance, you want to build encouragement. You want to build fruit
of the spirit, it needs to come from perpetual prayer on your lips. But what is that you say? Because it's not just lists. I got a whole notebook right here. All the prayer points. I use a prayer journal all the time. Lots and lots of stuff here. Lots of things. It's not just petitions. It's not petition. It's petitions. It's you listening to what the voice of the Lord says. You speaking what the voice of the Lord says and then you doing what the voice of the Lord says. That's perpetual prayer on your lips. I'm Chris Bri, the director of the National House of Prayer, and we'll see you next time. Bye for now. [Music]
