Advent um it is such an exciting time but something has happened that you might not be aware of uh it is a Christian Heritage Month I don't know if you were aware of that but many cities Across the Nation are declaring Christian Heritage m month this has been such a uh a surprise for many of us that even had a pastor asked me so Chris what are we doing for Christian Heritage much month and the the the funny part is is all of us are so busy with Christmas time it like it's a serious time to for outreach and in our community I don't know about your local church but uh we are are very very busy and and this is such a grand time to preach the gospel so easy to invite people to church
because they'll come it's Christmas time so it is such a good thing but but it this thing caught us off guard and many of us are too busy to actually plan Christian Heritage Month events even though we are but I want to say this um this this is a good thing and I'm not say I'm not slighting this anyway this is wonderful that this is happening but I years ago somebody said to me uh Chris you know I wear a suit in tie on Sunday so people can uh recognize that I'm a Christian if the only way people can recognize you're a Christian is that you wear a suit and tie or where you you wear a hat or you wear a dress ladies or any of those things I think you're doing it wrong um because this is what
supposed to happen in our lives I'm going to read something to you today from acts 4 take a look at look at this and this is should need needs to be our posture yes it's Christian Heritage Month but we shouldn't need a name or a day to say hey we're Christians because certain things are going to supposed to happen in our lives as Christians right these are things that are supposed to happen around us not just for Sunday but every day so let me read you acts 42 29 now Lord consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness stretch out your hand and heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus and listen to
this and after the place the place where they were meeting was shaken and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly that's what it's supposed to be about we are to pre preach or speak the word boldly we spend time in prayer we get our assignment from the father and we go out and speak the word boldly and signs and wonders can accompany them actually you should be looking for those things to happen signs and wonders going with you where you go looking for opportunities to pray that the place where you are will be shaken so I want to encourage you yes bless God it's Christian Heritage Month but it every day is Christian Heritage day that's
like remember what I said the other day that every day needs to be the National Day of Prayer same thing here our walk should be exemplified by the power of the Risen Lord Jesus Christ so anyway I'm Chris Viber the director of the national House of Prayer and I want to remind you every day is the National Day of Prayer bye for now [Music]
