hi everybody it's Chris bber the director of the national House of Prayer coming to you today from Ottawa well here we are almost the anniversary of October 7th that catastrophe that happened last year in Israel it has uh sent us to prayer praying for Israel in a big way um it is really really sad that we're here and still hostages is not accounted for still a lot of bombings a lot of things that are happening in the Middle East and so please continue to pray for Israel the Middle East for the whole situation there I want to talk to you today about um the rising anti-Semitism in Canada there is a declaration that's been put together uh by the Canadian churches it's called the Canadian uh

Christian Declaration on anti-Semitism and I'm going to get into that a little bit further but one of the things I want to talk about is rising anti-Semitism in Canada and we've seen even this year a much R much greater rise in anti-Semitism uh swastikas on lawns and shootings at at synagogues in Montreal and Toronto and other places my friends muas ripped off of uh off of their do doorposts and things like that so it's been really really a tough year a lot of my Jewish friends are afraid and uh and so so uh it is important that we stand with them but I want to talk to you about about the importance one of the things that I found out during this process uh was how indifferent I can be

and and some of the things I didn't know what the scripture said you know Abraham in Genesis 12 God has an encounter with Abraham and they and he has he makes a covenant with them with him uh God has makes a covenant with Abraham in Genesis 12 and I want to read what happens here because it something in one of our prayer schools it really resonated with me and OT taught this one particular class and it really resonated and it transformed how I carry Israel and I'm going to read this to you and out of Genesis 12 I will make you a great nation and I will bless you and I'll will make your name great so that you will be a blessing and I will bless those who bless you and curse those who

curse curse you and all the families of Earth will be blessed through you amazing word so the word blessing in Hebrew is Barack which comes from the root word bar and it means to bless to serve to honor to give to come to the same level for the purpose of mutual blessing and then there's something that I learned that I didn't know before and and it was the word curse in English we have one word for curse but in Hebrew they have various words and I want to read this here and it really is profound whoever curses you kalal I will curse God says arar so there are two different words here for the word curse Cal is to despise to hate be aggressive persecute to make light of to lightly esteem be

indifferent be distant or stand on the other side that is a broad broad perspective on that word especially in the area of being indifferent or stand on the other side or make light of I had no idea that was there because my pre conceived idea of curse was hyper agitated the worst the worst but it isn't God includes the very very extreme from one extreme to the other right from extremely violent to even indifference it's really interesting what we see about indifference you know the Le the the messenger to the leidan church right we see in Revelation 3 and4 uh he said says I would that you be hot or cold but if you're lukewarm indifferent I'll spew you out of my

mouth says the Lord I don't want to be in that place of indifference I don't want to be in the place of lukewarmness so while we're walking with Israel and carrying Israel I mean the the the shemai is hereo is Israel love the Lord Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul with all your mind and with all your strength and Jesus made it even expanded it and love your neighbor as yourself these are the greatest commandments so this is wholeheartedness that we are to carry especially with Israel and our walk with God so let me just read here about RAR arar so if we are indifferent God is says he will arve are us which is to curse bitterly curse denounce detest or withhold

blessing that is what has I found really Prof profound this year is that am I indifferent and am I being blessed or is God withholding stuff for me from me because of my indifference this is why it's important for Canada to to support and care for Israel because it could bring a curse upon our nation that's why we want to be praying but not only for blessings because it's the right thing to do God made a covenant and he keeps his covenants he keeps his covenants it's important that we know that because if he GL if he he stopped his Covenant with Israel what's it going to take if he stop his Covenant with me through the blood of Jesus right who am I so I want to encourage you so back to

this the Canadian um Christian Declaration on anti-Semitism we're going to put this in our prayer stream earlier uh down below so please sign that give it to your leaders your pastors if you're a pastor your prayer leader sign this declaration it is very important I've signed it Marilyn signed it and uh is important that we support the Jewish Community um I love what's been happening here in Ottawa we have building been building with the Jewish Community uh wholeheartedly and I'm very excited even on October 7th there is a memorial of that and Christian and Jews are working together on that Memorial and it's really important it's really great to see that and we see that Across the
