Hi everybody. It's Chris Fyberg, the director of the National House of Prayer. Happy Easter. He is risen. We're celebrating this weekend the death and resurrection of Jesus. And it is important that we keep our focus there even in the midst of an election. Especially in the midst of an election. Especially so, you know, because it is not all about the election. And right now, it seems like it really is all about the election. Um, we're breathing polls, we're watching polls, we're going to debates, we're door knocking, we're uh we're doing all kinds of things. I'm not talking about me, but everybody. A lot of people, a lot of you are engaging in this time, and it's wonderful. But

the main thing is to keep the main thing. The main thing and the main thing is seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you. Then this is what there the focus has to remain. Yes, we're in an election. Yes, it's important. Is it probably the most important of our time? I would say so. Yes, we could make or break a lot of things. But however, uh though the fig tree does not blossom, and there be no fruit on the vine, the product of the olive fail, and the field yield no fruit, though the flock be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the s stall, yet will I rejoice in the Lord. I will joy in the God of my salvation.

That is where the joy is is in the joy of our salvation. And we remember the price that Jesus paid at the cross. And for that powerful demonstration of resurrection life that we get to carry within us because of that we can boldly approach the throne of grace to obtain mercy. And this is why we pray 1 Timothy 2. I'm going to say it one more time. Pray for everybody. All kinds of prayers for kings and those in authority. For leaders, political leaders and those in author authority that we have peaceful and godly lives. This is good and it pleases God. But here's the main part. So that all men and women would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.

So that Mark Carney will be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. So that Pierre Pyv will be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. All of our leaders, all of our members of parliament that they would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. It's about the truth. And Jesus said this, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no man comes to the father but through me." I'm Chris Byber, the director of the National House of Prayer, and we will see you next time. Bye for now. [Music]
